The last 2 days has seen a change in conditions, with lighter winds from the North East helping us make progress South West
We’ve had a bit more sun in the day times and our power situation is improving but night times remain pretty cold. So much so that last night we were both on deck wearing our woolly boob hats from Chic Chapeaux. We’re quite surprised at how cold the nights are and are so glad we brought enough warm clothing with us. It’s a mammoth task trying to get ready for each 2 hour shift though as the cabin seems to retain it’s oven like qualities. Thankfully no more ships last night but some more amazing shooting stars. We’ve settled into a nice routine now, rowing through the night when possible, having breakfast together and then continuing through the day before tea at around 6pm.We’ll continue to work by GMT but that will mean the days will go a bit askew as we go through the times zones to the West. On the whole, we’re both fit and well and enjoying life at sea. The feeling on top of the big waves is amazing. Keep the messages coming too, they’re a great source of entertainment, encouragement and keeps our spirits up when we have to get out and row another cold night shift.
